Clinic Administrator/Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinic Administrator Accountant to oversee financial operations within a Great Little Rock healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, with expertise in managing clinic finances, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. As a key member of our administrative team, you will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, support budgeting processes, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations. Your role will be instrumental in fostering efficient financial management that supports the clinic’s mission to provide quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of clinic accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using advanced accounting software
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and analysis to inform management decisions and ensure transparency.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Oversee budget development, monitoring expenditures against budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to verify financial accuracy and adherence to policies.
  • Support financial aspects of grants or funding programs
  • Mentor and train staff on accounting procedures and best practices to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all financial transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations for audit readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting within a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, and financial concepts relevant to healthcare clinics.
  • Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
  • Experience with financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial report writing.
