Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of clinic accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using advanced accounting software
- Prepare and interpret financial statements, reports, and analysis to inform management decisions and ensure transparency.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee budget development, monitoring expenditures against budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to verify financial accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Support financial aspects of grants or funding programs
- Mentor and train staff on accounting procedures and best practices to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all financial transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in corporate accounting within a healthcare or similar environment.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, and financial concepts relevant to healthcare clinics.
- Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management.
- Experience with financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial report writing.
