Opthalmology Tech
Little Rock, ARGreat Midtown Clinic in search of an Ophthalmology Tech to join their group! Will take patients back, Chart to EMR, perform Pretesting, Assist with Procedures Plus!
No Travel! Monday-Friday 7:45-4:45pm! COA A Plus not Required!
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Clinical Support: Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes exam rooms and instruments. Assists with minor surgical procedures and administers ocular medications as directed by the physician.
- Patient Education: Instructs patients on the use of eye drops, and pre- or post-operative care.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintains electronic health records (EHR), manages patient flow, and ensures equipment is functional.
- Patient Care & Assessment: Records patient histories, checks visual acuity, tests pupillary reactions, and measures intraocular pressure.
- Diagnostic Testing:
Operates specialized equipment, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Fundus Photography, A/B-scans, and visual fields.
