Key Responsibilities to Include:
- Taking detailed patient medical histories.
- Measuring visual acuity, color vision, and other relevant visual functions.
- Performing preliminary screenings and preparing patients for exams.
- Operating and maintaining ophthalmic equipment (e.g., autorefractors, phoropters, tonometers).
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests like visual fields, OCT, and fundus photography.
- Assisting with minor surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
- Experience with sterilizing and maintaining ophthalmic equipment.
