Great North LR Company in search of an experienced Medical Claim Customer Service Rep will work with members and providers in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner to answer questions, provide health claims status, eligibility and resolve issues as reported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answering Customer Service call center line.
- Document details in a call log for every inbound and outbound call.
- Distribution of inbound faxes, keeping a record of receipt of forwarded faxes.
- Documenting details of call center voicemails on scheduled days.
- Return calls and provide claims status as assigned.
- Scan all documentation daily into specified electronic file.
- Maintain knowledge of current plan year policies and provisions.
- Maintain professional demeanor both in person and over the phone.
- Performs any other duties as required or assigned.
- Report status of ongoing tasks to Customer Service Supervisor.
- Adheres to quality standards and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Support help for other staff as needed.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of related call center experience, including but not limited to customer service, front desk or receptionist. Medical insurance knowledge required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, excellent customer service skills, excellent business etiquette.
