Great Little Rock Clinic in search for a Cardiac Telemetry Tech to join their team! Tech assists the Nursing Department in the care of patients by preparing for and assisting with all aspects of cardiac monitoring.
Duties include informing nurses and appropriate members of the health care team of important physiological and cardiac changes.
•Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
•Monitor and record physiological measurements including obtaining six second strip as indicated by patient condition.
•Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.
•Coordinate and assist with care as directed.
•Care and maintenance of cardiac equipment.
•Documents and interprets patient’s heart rhythm and rate by utilizing telemetry recordings. •Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of Supplemental Health Care, and other local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
•Receive, screen and coordinate telephone calls from patients and healthcare providers. •Responsible for having a broad understanding of the services provided by Supplemental Health Care.
•Communicate information clearly to patients, family and staff.
Education: High School diploma or GED. Completion of an approved arrhythmia or EKG interpretation class.
Licensing: EKG certification/registration as required
Training and experience: One year of current experience within the last three years in a Telemetry Tech position.
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for HealthCare workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
•Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
